PUBLICITY AND PROMOTIONS COORDINATORThis is a featured page

This is a crucial position for the success of our event.

Your job is to create a team to get the word out about our event. You'll also manage press releases and media coverage of the event both beforehand and afterward to let the world know what we've accomplished.

Contact key leaders for sustainability in New England - people who, if they came to our event, would be a huge draw for others to come. Phone and in person conversations work best. This is a networking task - find out who knows who, use the principle of seven degrees of separation.

You will create fliers and other promotional materials and distribute them strategically throughout New England.

And here's an idea: as the registration list grows, contact registered participants and have each of them contact at least three key people or organizations they think should be at the event.

Suggestion for contact conversations: Tell people who they are for you, tell them why you are personally inspired by this event, ask them what they see as possible for themselves if they attend the event, and then ask them to register.
